Thank you everyone who made it out to the December meeting/ Christmas Party. We got a lot done, everyone had a great time, and we collected a bag of toys for Toy-for-Tots. Below are some pictures from the event. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Ampsurf will be having its last meeting for 2009 on Dec. 7th, 6pm-9pm at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Museum located at 801 Grand Ave. across from the American legion post, behind and under the Vet’s hall (big brick bldg.). This is a great opportunity for us because the meeting is on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, so we will to be able to pay our respects as a group to those who gave their lives and fought for our freedom on this memorable day. We will also be able share with everyone who helps out with our program the great collection of memories and memorabilia at the museum. Two representatives from the museum will be available to answer any questions people have

This is also going to be our first ever Ampsurf Christmas party. It will be pot luck with Ampsurf providing the ham and a vegetarian alternative. If your last name starts with A-M please bring your favorite holiday side dish, if your name starts with N-Z please bring your favorite holiday desert. Ampsurf will provide all the plates utensils and drinks. Please note there are no facilities to heat anything up at the museum.

Ampsurf has teamed up with Toy for Tots, so we are asking everyone to please bring a toy to help our local kids in need have a great Christmas. The cost limit is set at $10 and the gifts should be new and unwrapped. We will also be giving out a few awards to some of our volunteers from this last year.
