05/09/08 - Rodney and I checked out Surfers Point today. Still a lot of debris on the beach from the winter storms, but there is a clear path down from the parking lot. We will be going by Friday on our way to Mcgrath, and Clear a spot for our set up. If you have access to a soft top board please bring it with you, Judith & John thanks for letting us use yours. Let us know if you need a wet suit. Baja Bob's has donated 25 wetsuits for our clinics (Thanks Bob).
05/07/08 -Only two spots left at our reserved camp site. If you are intending to stay with us for the weekend please let me know and I'll get another spot lined up. 8 max per spot.
MEETING for VOLUNTEERS - Friday night May 16th -McGrath State Beach 7pm at the Ampsurf campsite. Just look for the large black RV, you can't miss it. :)
04/30/08 - Ampsurf will be staying at Mcgrath State Beach Friday and Saturday night. I have reserved an RV spot and a tent spot for a total of 16 people. I already have 8 (full) at the RV spot, so there is room for people at the tent location if you want to stay there. If you would like to make a reservation to stay at your own spot you can go online at www.parks.ca.gov and it will guide you through the process. you can fit up to eight per site. Mcgrath is five miles south of Ventura off Highway 101 via Harbor Boulevard.
Directions to Surfers Point -
From the North - 101 North exit at W. Main, stay on west Main until Figueroa. Go right onto Figueroa which will turn into the Perimeter Roadway (C Street). Go to the second parking lot for Surfers Point (it is the Paid parking Area) the cost is $2 a day and you can come and go all day.
From the South - 101 North exit at Seaward take a left go over freeway take a right onto E. Harbor Blvd. Stay on E. Harbor to Figueroa. Go left on Figueroa which will turn into the Perimeter Roadway (C Street). The clinic schedule will be as follows for each day:

| Dry land instruction | 7:30 -8:30am |
| In water surf instruction | 8:30 -10:30am |
| Free surf | 10:30 - 12:00pm |
Goal: to encourage surfing among amputees and
others with disabilities. The clinics are free to participants who cannot afford
it, although donations are appreciated from those who can. Donations will be
used to help cover Clinic fees, equipment, and transportation. Surfing instruction
will be provided by trained surf instructors, and experienced surfers. These
instructors will work with each individual to meet his/her needs and abilities.
Participants are encouraged to contact AMPSURF in advance to
make sure all efforts can be made to accommodate his/her disability. Please

Volunteers are needed. Ideally we need a one to one ratio of
volunteers to participants sometimes 2 to1. If you’d like to volunteer,
