West Coast Championships
Ampsurf founders Rodney Roller and Dana Cummings were invited to participate in the first ever Challenged Athletes Division at the Western Surfing Association's West Coast Championships. There were 8 participants in two heats with one alternate representing four organizations; AccesSurf Hawaii, Association of Amputee Surfers, Challenged Athletes Foundation, and Life Rolls On. Mark Mable from Access Surf was contacted by Ryan Levinson and asked if he could help get a heat together. After some quick phone calls and great networking the group was organized and the division was assembled.

Dana Cummings, San Luis Obispo, CA. (Amputee; riding a stand-up surfboard)
Rodney finished 4th in the finals with Amy Bronn taking it all to be crowned 1st Challenged Abilities Division Champion. Amy a right below knee amputee is from Cardiff by the Sea California and Loves to surf. This was her first time ever competing and what a great way to start things off.
